Introduction
Th projects module is where you configure and maintain your projects in the Aneto EVM system.
The Project Management Institute (PMI) defines a project as "a temporary endeavor undertaken to create a unique product, service, or result." This definition is widely accepted and used in the field of project management and is a cornerstone of PMI's PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge) Guide.
How to access
To access this module simply click on the “Projects” menu item on the left hand side panel.

These are the aspects you can configure for a Project:

Project icon
| Set the right project icon for your new project. This is important because it helps differentiate projects in the reports |

Budget
| If you would like your project's margins to be calculated based on a fixed budget and not on the sum of the costs of the issues, then you can enter the project’s budget amount here. If left empty, the EVM App will calculate costs based on the SUM os all of the project’s issues, by calculating the issue’s original estimates, assignee and assignee cost rate, | |||||||
Duration format
| Specify how the durations should be displayed for this project. It is defaulted to the duration display settings you have at the app level, but can be customised at the project level as well |

Money format
| Specify how the currency amount should be displayed for this project. It is defaulted to the currency format on the settings you have at the app level, but can be customised at the project level as well |

Start date
| Here you specify the start of the work for this project | |||||||
Ignore time entered before this date | When set, the App will ignore any worklog entered before this date for any of the project issues in this project |

Delivery date
| Specifies the expected end of the project. Although this is an optional field, the EVM app will not be able to calculate key EVM metrics until this is set. | |||||||
Enter JQL to define scope or select Jira filter | This is where you specify the scope of the project. The scope can be specified by selecting an already created Jira filter or by writing your own Jira JQL. Please see the Tips and Tricks for defining project and retainer scope for advanced usage of Jira JQLs |

User Access
| In this very important section, you specify who has access to the project and under what capacity. Caution needs to be excised. Please refer to the user access functionality document for more details

| You can enable this option if your project issues have not been properly estimated yet but you still want to see some project progress with the issues that have been estimated. |
